The Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation is thrilled to announce the 3rd Annual Women’s Small Biz Expo—an exciting event dedicated to celebrating and supporting women entrepreners.
This event will celebrate the contributions of Women entrepreneurs in our community, while also making it the perfect opportunity to shop, network, and connect with incredible women-owned businesses while discovering valuable resources to help entrepreneurs grow and thrive. Whether you’re a business owner, a supporter of local talent, or looking for unique products, this event is for you!
The 5th annual Caribbean Jerk Festival is a family-friendly event that highlights the cultural contributions that BIPOC leaders hailing from the Caribbean Islands have made to the Codman Square Commercial Corridor, and beyond. Past years have included musical and dance performances, and this year will be no different. Caribbean artists, small business owners, community leaders, and chefs serving up Caribbean fare will be celebrated for a family-friendly afternoon in the heart of Codman Square.
This year, we are doing things in a bigger way. To attract even more visitors, Jerkfest will be on a Saturday afternoon, immediately following the Dorchester Farmers Market happening at Codman Square Park. And for the first time in Jerkfest history, local merchants and craft vendors will be on site to sell their local products on the festival grounds. We are also incorporating activities that will extend into the commercial corridor for a day of Jerking and Caribbean celebration.
